Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Broker Support specialist within the Corporate division, your key responsibility will be partnering with senior brokers to maintain excellent client service standards. You will offer accurate, professional support and advice to clients, underwriters, and stakeholders, while developing your expertise in the field. Specific duties include:
- Preparing proposals to secure new business opportunities.
- Managing client renewals and calculating premiums.
- Providing technical broking assistance for your assigned portfolio through communication with clients, insurers, and internal departments.
- Handling claims management efficiently.
Qualifications and Attributes for Success
Ideal candidates possess strong relationship-building skills and prior experience in the insurance industry, particularly supporting commercial or corporate accounts. Success requires a commitment to learning and dedication to achieving the best client outcomes. Key qualities include:
- Background in underwriting, claims, or broker support roles.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Holding a Level 5 Fire and General qualification is a plus.
- Motivation to independently manage a client portfolio to deliver results.
