About the Role
Platform Property Care is seeking an experienced Work Planner specializing in housing maintenance and repairs. This role is vital in a fast-moving environment, focused on ensuring efficient job coordination to provide excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of the planning team, you will coordinate a multi-skilled trades workforce responsible for scheduled and reactive property maintenance. Your duties involve maintaining close communication with field teams and customers to make sure repairs and installations are done correctly on the first attempt. This position entails organizing engineers and scheduling maintenance tasks effectively to meet customer satisfaction.
Working Hours and Location
This full-time position requires working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekend shifts. Although based at home, occasional visits to offices in Birmingham Business Park (Solihull) or Central Park (Worcester) will be necessary for bi-monthly team meetings and other infrequent travel, which will be reimbursed. Free parking is available at office locations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate must possess strong IT capabilities, especially in Outlook and Word. Experience in planning or scheduling trades workforces within building maintenance or construction administrative teams is essential. Prior knowledge of workforce planning and scheduling software, with a preference for DRS, is important. Being located within the West Midlands area (Solihull, Coventry, Birmingham, or Worcestershire) and having local knowledge will be advantageous.
