Overview
Platform Property Care is seeking a dedicated and diligent individual to join its Mobile Caretaking team as a Community Caretaker. This role involves providing a range of caretaking and cleaning services across Platform Housing Group's estates, blocks, and schemes located throughout Worcestershire.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure communal properties and surrounding environments are kept clean, tidy, safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Perform day-to-day cleaning and caretaking duties such as clearing leaves, spraying weeds, litter picking, removing graffiti, conducting minor repairs, and managing fly tipping issues.
- Operate across multiple site locations within Worcestershire, requiring mobility and travel between sites.
- Use company-provided van for transportation during working hours, eliminating the need for personal vehicle use.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position consisting of 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday with core hours between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM. No weekend shifts are required.
Key Qualifications and Attributes
- Positive attitude with flexibility and initiative, able to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning and caretaking standards.
- Prior experience in cleaning and caretaking roles, preferably within customer-focused environments.
- Competent IT skills including proficiency using an iPad to log repairs and conduct health and safety inspections through portals.
- Possession of a current, full driving licence is mandatory due to the mobile nature of the job.
- Ability to successfully pass a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Residence in Worcestershire or nearby areas to enable efficient access to the coverage sites.
