Utility Worker

About the Role

Join Sodexo as a Utility Worker supporting kitchen and facility operations to uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food preparation and service environments. This full-time position requires working varying shifts with open availability preferred. You will be integral to ensuring food production areas meet sanitary standards by cleaning equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage areas, as well as assisting with setting up and breaking down tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manually wash dishes or operate dishwashing machines.
• Sanitize work surfaces including tables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum all types of floors.
• Dispose of trash and garbage in assigned locations.
• Use specified chemicals to sanitize equipment according to safety guidelines.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials regularly.
• Engage in significant walking and mobility throughout shifts that may exceed 8 hours.
• Capably perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 35 pounds frequently, and occasionally lifting or moving weights up to 50 pounds.
• Attend scheduled shifts punctually and with consistent reliability.
• Perform other duties as assigned that vary by location and client requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification of High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No prior related work experience is required.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and food safety procedures.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $7.25 to $21.30.
