Join Sodexo as a Utility Worker supporting kitchen and facility operations at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC. This position involves maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation within food preparation and service zones. Available work shifts are flexible with open availability, including varied times to be detailed during the interview. Employment options include full-time or part-time status, with an hourly wage fixed at $15.00.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manually washing dishes or operating dishwashing equipment.
• Sanitizing work surfaces such as tables, walls, refrigeration units, and meat cutting blocks.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning floors.
• Properly disposing of trash and refuse to assigned locations.
• Using designated chemicals to clean equipment and maintain sanitation standards.
• Replenishing supplies including soap, paper towels, and cleaning products.
• Exercising significant physical mobility including walking or standing continuously for shifts that can extend beyond eight hours.
• Performing physical tasks involving reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and frequently lifting up to 35 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
• Adhering to punctual attendance and reliable shift coverage.
• Carrying out additional duties as assigned, which may vary based on client demands and site specifics.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No prior work experience required.
• Basic understanding of sanitation procedures and fundamental food safety principles.
