Water Infrastructure Engineer

Role Details

This position supports the design and execution of water infrastructure projects throughout all stages—from planning and investigation to detailed design and construction assistance. You will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically sound and practical solutions involving water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, designing, and implementing water infrastructure projects, including water supply, wastewater, and stormwater networks.
• Contribute to designing pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and related infrastructure elements.
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and documentation to inform project decisions.
• Help prepare technical reports, design drawings, and specifications aligned with project needs.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
• Support adherence to quality, safety, and risk management standards across projects.
• Engage with internal teams and assist with client communications during project phases.
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with current and prospective clients to meet project requirements.
• Operate in both office and on-site roles, collaborating with virtual teams nationally and internationally.
• Mentor and provide guidance to graduate design engineers on project tasks.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a relevant Civil Engineering degree.
• Possesses over four years of experience in water infrastructure design and delivery in consulting or infrastructure sectors.
• Has knowledge of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater systems and their design standards.
• Skilled in conducting engineering analyses and developing practical, constructible solutions.
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Proactively pursues learning and professional growth.
• Experience with design software such as 12D, Civil3D, AutoCAD, and GIS tools.
• Effective at multitasking and organizing both personal and team workloads to meet deadlines.
• Exhibits ownership and initiative in managing tasks and projects independently.
• Self-driven with high energy and adaptable in approach to challenges.

Work Model

The role operates within a hybrid work environment, requiring in-office presence approximately three days per week, fostering collaboration and engagement.
