Hydrogeologist

Job Overview

KN International seeks a seasoned Hydrogeologist with expertise in groundwater studies and hydrogeological evaluations to support infrastructure and development projects in Abu Dhabi. The professional will undertake extensive groundwater investigations, assess hydrogeological parameters, interpret field and technical data, and produce comprehensive technical reports aligned with UAE regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute groundwater investigations and hydrogeological assessments pertinent to infrastructure and development initiatives.
• Organize and assist in groundwater monitoring, field and borehole investigations, and analyze aquifer conditions.
• Evaluate groundwater levels, quality metrics, aquifer properties, and hydrogeological factors.
• Interpret borehole logs, geological datasets, monitoring outputs, and supplementary technical data.
• Create hydrogeological models and detailed technical reports with recommendations.
• Examine groundwater dynamics including flow, recharge, discharge, dewatering needs, and potential developmental impacts.
• Collaborate with geotechnical, environmental, geological, and civil engineering teams.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and third-party consultant reports related to hydrogeology and groundwater.
• Ensure all investigations and advice comply with UAE governmental regulations, authority requirements, and specific project criteria.
• Provide expert input throughout project phases: planning, design, construction, and field investigations.
• Liaise with authorities, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate project objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geoscience, Environmental Science, or related disciplines.
• At least five years of professional experience specializing in hydrogeology and groundwater assessments.
• Demonstrated expertise in groundwater investigations, aquifer studies, and hydrogeological evaluations.
• Hands-on experience with groundwater monitoring, borehole data analysis, water quality assessments, and hydrogeological data interpretation.
• Familiarity with UAE environmental regulations and groundwater authority standards.
• Experience in infrastructure, construction, or environmental projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency in hydrogeological software, GIS platforms, modeling tools, and technical report preparation.
• Strong analytical capabilities and technical writing skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination aptitude when engaging with consultants, contractors, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
