Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
This role demands ensuring adherence to client service agreements and supervising weekly activities at assigned warehouse centers. The supervisor will oversee compliance with good storage practices and ensure goals aligned with client indicators are met. Maintaining clear communication channels with clients, supervisors, and internal teams through reports, meetings, and performance metrics is essential.
You will be responsible for supervising the entire inventory process from receiving goods to the final customer delivery, following established protocols. Daily operational meetings within your area should be monitored to keep workflow efficient. Evaluating the objectives and performance of your team members regularly is expected.
Timely generation and submission of operational reports are required. Attendance at weekly and monthly meetings with the submanager of your area is also necessary. You must ensure that the warehouse environment is clean and organized according to the 5's methodology, fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
Moreover, the position involves managing operations in a cost-effective manner, ensuring good relations with internal departments responsible for those operations, and collaborating on cost control with the submanager. Internal audits under BASC V.6-2022 standards must be conducted. Identifying nonconformities and reporting them to facilitate continuous improvement will be part of your responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields.
- Internal Auditor certification for BASC V.6-2022 considered an advantage.
- Minimum of five years in a related supervisory role.
- Experience managing and leading personnel.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
- Results-driven approach.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems such as SAP, AS/400, or WMS.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of storage, inventory procedures, and distribution processes.
- Customer service orientation.
