Position Overview

Join the Amazon warehouse team as a Warehouse Associate in Rostock, Germany, participating in the efficient preparation of customer orders including selecting, packing, and dispatching items. This role supports rapid delivery services and involves working either full-time or part-time with fixed shift options available.

Compensation and Work Schedule

  • Starting hourly wage of €16.28 gross for daytime shifts.
  • Guaranteed pay increases after 12 months (maintaining €16.28/hr) and after 24 months (increased to €18.00/hr).
  • The workweek runs Monday to Saturday, usually 5 days with 2 Saturdays per month scheduled.
  • Part-time shifts start from 12 hours/week, full-time shifts exceed 30 hours/week.

Work Locations and Transportation

  • Primary locations: RGL1 Amazon in Dummerstorf and DMV1 Amazon in Rostock.
  • All employees receive a free Deutschlandticket for public transportation valued at €63.00 monthly.
  • Free shuttle service available for DMV1 location and starting week 43, a shuttle connects Wismar Central Station to RLG1 during shift hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare customer orders by picking, packing, and shipping products.
  • Receive shipments and store inventory appropriately.
  • Load shipments onto trucks for distribution.
  • Construct, wrap, sort, and move pallets and packages.
  • Ensure products meet quality control standards.
  • Utilize technology such as handheld scanners and smartphones for order processing.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks including forklifts and pallet drivers, with provided training and certification.
  • Perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 15kg individually, 23kg team lift at RLG1), and working at heights up to 13 meters.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Fluent in German and/or English to understand job and safety procedures.
  • Physically able to perform lifting, moving, and standing tasks throughout shifts.
  • Adhere strictly to safety and quality standards.
