Merchandising Associate

About the Role

Join The Home Depot in Mississauga as a Merchandising Associate, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer's shopping experience by ensuring stores are well merchandised, organized, and visually appealing. This position involves supporting multiple departments within the store through various merchandising tasks and projects executed with on-site supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret instructions to accurately set merchandise following planograms, service guidelines, project directives, and program requirements.
• Organize, clean, and present products in an attractive manner to enhance visual appeal.
• Update and maintain the latest planograms beside corresponding product displays.
• Construct displays and fixtures using basic handheld tools as needed.
• Order, install, and maintain signage, brochures, and display materials.
• Perform correct price and label changes, replacing damaged or missing labels to ensure accurate pricing.
• Keep aisles well-maintained for customer accessibility and cleanliness.
• Utilize store computer systems to access merchandising data, interpret findings, and act accordingly.
• Maintain accurate bay service records and related documentation.
• Participate in special store, district, or regional projects as assigned.

Customer Service Duties

• Ensure aisles remain clean and accessible, facilitating easy customer movement.
• Collaborate with store leadership on markdowns for damaged or unsellable items.
• Assist customers by addressing inquiries about store products and services.
• Work alongside store associates to locate products matching customers' needs.

Additional Responsibilities

• Work with store representatives to inspect returned or damaged merchandise for vendor returns.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and safety policies.
• Complete required training programs.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Education and Experience

• Minimum educational requirement: GED, High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $18.85 and $20.35 per hour.
