VMC Programmer for 2D CNC Milling Jobs

About the Role

Our company is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and Operator specialized in using Fanuc controllers for high-precision 2D milling and drilling tasks. This role focuses on producing accurate machined components without involving die or mould work.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently develop 2D CNC milling programs using Fanuc controller languages tailored for production operations.
• Select appropriate cutting tools including face mills, end mills, boring tools, and taps based on each job's specifications.
• Set up, load, and run CNC programs on machine tools, continuously optimizing for efficiency and quality.
• Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and CAD models to fully understand component dimensions.
• Execute machining on parts typically sized between 6" × 6" × 3" and up to 10" × 24" × 3".
• Maintain tight dimensional accuracy with perpendicularity and tolerances held within 10 microns for critical components.
• Manage tool offsets, work offsets, cutting parameters, and perform thorough quality inspections throughout machining processes.
• Keep the machining area orderly, clean, and safe at all times.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven hands-on practice with Fanuc CNC programming, including G-code generation and toolpath planning.
• Strong grounding in machining theories such as cutting speeds, feeds, and understanding tool performance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting GD&T symbols, tolerance requirements, and precision manufacturing specifications.
• Experience machining materials like steel and aluminum to stringent tolerance levels.
• Capability to diagnose machining problems and enhance cycle times without sacrificing quality.
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working with precision CNC machining projects.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is INR 22,000 to 35,000 per month.
