VLSI Engineer L3

Role Overview

This role focuses on developing VLSI systems through defining functionalities, architecture, layout, and implementation tailored for client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify module or IP functionality; provide client support throughout.
• Analyze module/IP architecture and prepare a verification environment alongside development plans following Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
• Develop test benches and code test cases for single or multiple modules.
• Author and review code as needed to ensure quality.
• Run test cases and perform debugging where necessary.
• Carry out functional coverage analysis; document test cases including failures and debugging steps using platforms like SharePoint or JIRA.
• Conduct regression testing on the entire IP to validate its functionality and prepare comprehensive documentation for client delivery.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems ensuring timely upgrades with minimal latency and high efficiency.
• Create automation scripts related to the IP.
• Adhere to project plans and comply with prevailing industry standards.
• Prepare and submit regular status reports—weekly and monthly—as per client requirements.
• Maintain and archive documents detailing all design alterations, recommendations, and other relevant information.
• Keep accurate timesheets for client projects.
• Provide written knowledge transfer and historical documentation related to assigned projects.

Performance Metrics

• Verification quality measured by timeliness, code quality, defect count, client responsiveness, and completeness of project documentation.
• Personal growth assessed via skill evaluation tests aimed at advancing to the next level within the company.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• Expertise in RTL coding.
• Previous experience of 3 to 5 years in relevant roles.
