IBM OpenPages Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned IBM OpenPages Engineer with extensive experience to join our team at Wipro in Pune, Maharashtra. This role demands proficiency with IBM OpenPages GRC platform and strong technical expertise in Java and related technologies, working within an Agile framework to deliver sophisticated governance and risk management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify configurations, workflows, triggers, JSP helpers, task views, and associated objects within IBM OpenPages versions 8.1 and 8.2.
• Collaborate closely with core project teams, IT application support staff, front-end users, and IBM solution architects to tailor OpenPages workflows, enhancing the Model Risk Inventory system.
• Translate business requirements from user stories, use cases, and business requirement documents into technical solutions.
• Engage with Product Owners and Solution/Platform Architects to identify necessary changes and refine user stories accordingly.
• Devise logical and creative solutions addressing complex problems encountered during development and implementation.
• Optimize process automation to minimize manual intervention across design, development, and operational stages, including strategic decisions related to tooling for enhanced performance.
• Coordinate with Agile leads to maintain an efficient and prioritized backlog for change management activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience with IBM OpenPages, specifically versions 7.3 and above, focusing on configuration, workflow management, triggers, JSP helpers, and application maintenance.
• Advanced programming capabilities in Java and J2EE.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to support UI customization and development.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle databases and IBM WebSphere Application Server.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience operating within Agile project environments.
• Expertise in IBM OpenPages security components is mandatory.

Desirable Additional Experience

• Experience developing task-focused user interfaces on the OpenPages platform.
• Familiarity with Model Risk Governance (MRG) domain concepts.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins.
• Knowledge of batch job processing and shell scripting.
