Job description
About The Company
Base360.ai develops an AI-powered operating system tailored for short-term rental firms, enabling property managers to launch, manage, and scale their operations autonomously. Originating from the tech behind The Flex, the platform focuses on automating these processes with AI.
Role Overview
We seek a skilled Video Editor to vividly represent our products, founder narratives, and brand identity through engaging video content. This role involves transforming raw videos, product captures, and creative concepts into launch presentations, social media clips, and advertisement videos that captivate audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and edit launch and brand videos that integrate storytelling, product demos, and strong visual elements.
- Create content featuring founders from interviews, direct-to-camera footage, and behind-the-scenes captures.
- Develop short videos for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn with impactful hooks and deliberate pacing.
- Craft paid advertising creatives with varied intros, messaging, and calls to action.
- Enhance product visibility through screen recordings, motion graphics, kinetic typography, and clear visual explanations.
- Manage the full post-production process, including footage selection, editing, color correction, sound design, music, captions, and export.
- Leverage AI tools to generate supporting visuals, voiceovers, and assets that enhance quality or speed up creation.
- Ensure consistency in visual style across different formats and channels.
- Analyze performance data such as viewer retention and conversion to refine future content.
Candidate Profile
- A robust portfolio showing expertise in storytelling, editing, and visual aesthetics.
- Proficient use of Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro plus motion design tools like After Effects or equivalents.
- Expertise in crafting video hooks within the first three seconds to maintain viewer engagement.
- Ability to condense lengthy recordings into compelling, concise narratives.
- Understanding of how audio elements—music, silence, sound effects—and pacing influence emotions.
- Comfortable incorporating AI creative tools such as Runway, Kling, Sora, and ElevenLabs within creative workflows.
- Capable of independent work, timely delivery, and receptive to direct critiques.
- Balances rapid production with high quality and meticulous attention to detail.
Experience with SaaS-related videos, founder content, documentary style storytelling, or social media paid advertisements is advantageous.
Benefits and Environment
- Opportunity to define and evolve the video presence of a growing startup from early stages.
- Collaborate directly with the founder on product launches, storytelling, and open company building.
- Experience creative autonomy with widespread publication of your work across our brand and marketing channels.
- Potential career growth into creative leadership roles and team-building opportunities.
- Competitive remuneration combined with performance-linked bonuses.
- Fully remote engagement within an ambitious and entrepreneurial team.
Our Culture and Expectations
We prioritize individual accountability, open and direct communication, high-quality output, and continuous development. Success here demands initiative, willingness to experiment, and a dedication to excel in video craft.
Who Should Avoid This Role?
- Those seeking extensive task handholding over creative ownership.
- Candidates wanting a stable, slow-moving workflow with limited change.
- Individuals uneasy with direct feedback, iteration, or innovation in approach.
- Applicants focused solely on aesthetics rather than storytelling effectiveness and outcomes.
- People resistant to adopting new creative tools or methods.
- Those who engage in office politics or lack team accountability.
- Anyone not driven to master and excel at the craft of video editing.
