About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join a leading main dealership group located in Huddersfield. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with a minimum of 4 years' experience in garage settings, who holds a Level 3 qualification and a full UK driving license. The position offers a competitive basic salary up to £42,000, with additional bonus and overtime, resulting in an on-target earning of approximately £46,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Working Hours
Employees will work Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with Saturday mornings covered on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, including warranty-approved work under brand guidelines.
- Conduct Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties, provided the technician is qualified.
Requirements
- Must possess a full UK driving license.
- Hold NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, Mechanical Engineering Level 3 or equivalent certification; PSV/LCV Level 3 qualifications are also considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Vehicle Technician in a garage environment.
