About the Role
A leading UK main dealer group is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team in Hamilton, Scotland. This role offers an excellent salary package including a basic salary up to £43,000, uncapped bonuses, a productivity bonus of £3,000, efficiency bonuses, and overtime, with total earnings on experience and qualifications potentially reaching £52,400. The role involves maintaining and servicing vehicles, diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, and conducting MOT testing if qualified.
Working Hours
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with Saturday mornings on a rota basis, totaling 40 hours per week. There is also an option to work a four-day week (Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday) with 42 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing and maintenance on all types of vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults, including warranty-approved work as per brand guidelines.
- Carry out MOT testing duties, provided the technician is qualified.
Requirements
- Possession of a full UK driving license.
- Qualified to NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or Mechanical Engineering Level 3 or equivalent; Level 2 will be considered if backed by main dealership experience.
