Job Overview
We are seeking a proficient TV Technician to join our service/technical support team. This full-time position requires diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining LED, LCD, and Smart TVs. The technician will manage customer service calls, identify issues, conduct repairs, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations as scheduled for service calls.
- Identify defects in LED, LCD, and Smart TVs along with their components.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions involving display panels, main and power supply boards, T-Con boards, backlighting, speakers, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules, firmware, and I/O ports like HDMI and USB.
- Execute repairs at component or board level where necessary.
- Replace faulty parts including panels, printed circuit boards, LEDs, connectors, and speakers.
- Conduct TV installation, removal, demonstrations, and setup.
- Thoroughly test TVs post-repair to confirm functionality.
- Communicate issues and repair procedures clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate service reports and update call statuses.
- Collect service fees from clients according to company policy.
- Manage spare parts and tools with care, keeping detailed records.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and technical instructions.
- Complete assigned service calls within stipulated turnaround times.
- Escalate complex problems to senior technicians or service managers as needed.
- Exemplify professional conduct and nurture positive customer relationships.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of LED, LCD, and Smart TV technologies.
- Familiarity with electronic components, circuit boards, and basic circuit schematics.
- Competent in using multimeters and electronic diagnostic tools.
- Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of TV software and firmware maintenance.
- Effective communication skills for customer interaction.
- Self-reliant work ethic with readiness to travel across service areas.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Preferably holds ITI or Diploma certification in Electronics, Electrical, or related technical disciplines. Candidates with relevant TV repair experience are welcome to apply. Freshers with appropriate technical knowledge may also be considered, though ideally candidates will have 1 to 3 years’ experience in TV or electronics repair and servicing.
