Role Summary
The Vehicle Detailer is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles undergo meticulous cleaning and upkeep, maintaining the highest standards before moving on to reconditioning or sales. The role demands personal care for each vehicle, teamwork, a learning mindset, and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly pressure wash and shampoo vehicle exteriors.
- Steam clean, extract, and vacuum interiors for optimal cleanliness.
- Polish out swirl marks and minor scratches on vehicle surfaces.
- Apply tire dressings and protect exterior finishes.
- Keep track of and maintain detailing supplies and equipment proactively.
- Constantly seek ways to improve detailing procedures and workflows.
- Assist in keeping the work area clean, organized, and efficient.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Genuine interest in the automotive sector.
- Eager to learn and develop detailing skills.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Collaborative team member who prioritizes teamwork.
- Valid G2 or G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Post-secondary education is considered an advantage.
- Availability for a full-time, 40-hour workweek including possible overtime.
Desirable Skills
- Prior experience in automotive detailing.
- Comfort handling manual transmission vehicles.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage set at $20.00.
