About the Role

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Valeter to become part of our Renault/Dacia branch in Dumfries. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are immaculately presented for customers.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleaning sold and stock vehicles both inside and out to a high standard.
• Using high-powered pressure washers for external vehicle cleaning.
• Operating powerful vacuums and shampoo equipment to deep-clean vehicle interiors.
• Applying polish and buffing machines to enhance vehicle bodywork.
• Following health and safety procedures, particularly when handling cleaning chemicals.
• Maintaining and securing all tools and machinery properly; promptly reporting any defects and adhering strictly to manufacturer guidance and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
• Meeting set deadlines and targets consistently.
• Managing vehicle work schedules via an online diary system.
• Recording daily completed work accurately.
• Assisting with other branch support duties as needed.

Hours

This is a full-time role with working hours from Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Possession of a full UK driving license.
• Basic proficiency in computer usage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Self-driven with the ability to function effectively within a team environment.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to engage in training initiatives, including the Arnold Clark Valet Academy.

While prior valet experience is an advantage, it is not mandatory. Comprehensive training will be provided to candidates who display enthusiasm and meet the essential criteria.
