Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Valeter to join our Motorstore located in Leyland. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, physically active role, pays exceptional attention to detail, and thrives as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean sold and stock vehicles to maintain a pristine appearance.
• Use high-powered pressure washers for external vehicle cleaning.
• Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors utilizing high-powered vacuums.
• Operate polishing and buffing machines to enhance vehicle bodywork.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines when handling chemicals.
• Ensure all tools and machinery are well-maintained, secure, and report any defects promptly, following manufacturer instructions and personal protective equipment guidelines.
• Meet designated timeframes and performance targets.
• Manage vehicle cleaning schedules through an online diary system.
• Maintain daily logs of work completed.
• Perform additional duties contributing to branch support as needed.

Requirements and Candidate Profile

• Possession of a full UK driving license.
• Basic proficiency with computers.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to engage in training and development programmes.

While prior valet experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We offer training to enthusiastic candidates who meet the essential criteria. All new valet employees participate in Arnold Clark's Valet Academy to ensure the highest standards.

Working Hours

The role is full-time with the following schedule: Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
