ELM Utility Services employs over 1700 people nationwide and seeks a Utility Locate Technician for the Kirkland, Washington region. Our technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication infrastructure by performing precise utility markings to prevent damage during excavation. Employees leverage cutting-edge LaunchPoint software which enhances workflow efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranges from $25.50 to $32.00, based on experience
• Company vehicle, fuel card, and cell phone provided for daily use and convenience, allowing technicians to start their route from home

Job Duties

• Independently work outdoors using a company vehicle as a mobile office to complete daily locate routes
• Accurately and safely locate and mark underground utilities using paint, flags, and whiskers
• Utilize mobile software to manage daily task assignments
• Participate in on-call rotations and be willing to work overtime including nights and weekends as necessary

Qualifications and Compliance

• Pass pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and background verification
• Comply with Federal Department of Transportation regulations for this safety-sensitive role, including strict prohibition on marijuana use regardless of medical or recreational status
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• Possession of a valid driver's license
