ELM Utility Services, a company with over 1900 employees nationwide, is hiring Utility Locate Technicians in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. These technicians play a crucial role in their communities by ensuring the reliability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication infrastructure. The role involves precision marking of utilities to prevent damage during excavation, utilizing advanced LaunchPoint software for operational efficiency. Compensation ranges from $23.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors using a company vehicle as a mobile office to fulfill daily utility locate requests.
• Locate and mark underground utilities accurately, safely, and efficiently employing marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers.
• Utilize mobile work software system to receive and manage daily assignments.
• Participate in on-call rotations and work overtime as necessary, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record check, and background screening. This is a Safety-Sensitive Department of Transportation (DOT) position requiring compliance with federal regulations, including a prohibition on marijuana use.
• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
