Position Overview
Join UtiliQuest, LLC as a Utility Line Locator trainee and embark on a career focused on safely identifying underground utility lines. This role involves learning safety standards and techniques, working alongside skilled locators, utilizing specialized equipment, and documenting discoveries to support safe and efficient construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire knowledge of utility locating methods, safety procedures, and equipment operation
- Gain comprehension of local utility systems and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with experienced Locators to mark utility lines beneath the surface
- Operate utility locating machinery proficiently
- Record findings accurately using digital mapping technologies
- Perform fieldwork in different weather conditions and environments
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for this employer
- Completion of High School Diploma, GED equivalency, or equivalent relevant experience
- Possession of a valid state driver's license (excluding provisional licenses) with a satisfactory motor vehicle record
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequently work independently in remote settings requiring arm movement above shoulder height, driving, fine motor skills, bending, stooping, standing, walking, and lifting up to 55 pounds, along with computer usage
- Occasionally use portable ladders, navigate confined spaces, and climb stairs

- Hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $22.00
