About the Role
Join UtiliQuest, LLC as a Utility Locator where you'll acquire the knowledge of safety protocols and methods to accurately identify underground utility lines. Collaborating with experienced colleagues, you'll utilize specialized equipment and document your findings to promote safety and efficiency in construction projects.
UtiliQuest supports utility operators across the United States by preventing damage to underground infrastructure through millions of reliable locate requests annually. The company employs advanced technology and skilled professionals to ensure accurate, timely locate services, emphasizing integrity, ethics, corporate citizenship, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Learn and apply utility locating techniques and safety standards.
- Gain familiarity with local utility infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
- Assist experienced locators in marking underground utility lines.
- Record and map findings using digital tools.
- Perform fieldwork under all weather conditions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the United States for this employer.
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Hold a valid, non-provisional state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Physical capability to work independently in remote settings involving arm elevation, vehicle operation, manual dexterity, bending, stooping, standing, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and using keyboard and mouse.
- Occasional use of portable ladders, confined spaces, and stair climbing.
