Turf Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Turf Technician to ensure the upkeep of sports fields across the North Shore area. This position involves maintaining turf quality through mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest management while operating various machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating turf, and controlling pests on multiple sports grounds.
• Handle and operate equipment including tractors, sprayers, and mowers effectively.
• Operate independently for the majority of the work schedule with occasional teamwork for collaborative tasks.
• Travel within the North Shore region to service principal sports facilities.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working in turf maintenance, farming, orchards, or other roles requiring extensive use of heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in operating large machines; possession of a Class 2 driver's license is preferred.
• Qualification such as Certificate III in Sports Turf Management (AHC31324) or equivalent practical experience is desirable.
