Role Overview
As part of a major systems upgrade and operational enhancement, Cleanaway is expanding its transport planning capabilities and seeking Transport Schedulers based in Northgate, Queensland. This role involves planning transport services more than a day ahead to ensure efficiency, safety, and reliability across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance transport schedules, routes, and fleet assignments aimed at maximizing operational efficiency and service quality.
- Collaborate with operational managers and customer service teams to produce realistic and compliant schedules aligning with Chain of Responsibility regulations.
- Analyze operational data and key metrics to spot trends, identify opportunities, and recommend improvements.
- Provide operational support through effective communication, engagement with stakeholders, and proactive problem-solving.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a natural planner with experience in transport, logistics, waste management, FMCG, or supply chain sectors. They must demonstrate data interpretation skills to convert insights into actionable business strategies.
- Experience in transport scheduling, route optimization, or logistics coordination.
- In-depth understanding of fleet operations, vehicle capabilities, driver scheduling, and transport compliance.
- Proficiency with transport management systems or route planning platforms such as AMCS or similar tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, particularly for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving aptitude to guide operational decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to build trusted interdepartmental relationships.
- Organizational aptitude with keen attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple priorities.
- Positive, adaptable mindset focused on customer service and continuous improvement.
