About the Organization

We are a dedicated energy enterprise focusing on enhancing hydrocarbon recovery, boosting reservoir output, and creating economically viable petroleum engineering solutions. Our teams operate remotely across various functions including Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Production Engineering, Drilling, Completions, Geoscience, Subsurface, Facilities, Operations, HSE, Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, consultants, partners, and senior leadership to drive superior asset lifecycle performance.

Role Overview

The Petroleum Engineering Manager role requires a seasoned professional to direct technical and strategic initiatives within petroleum engineering fields such as reservoir management, production optimization, well planning, field development, reserves handling, enhanced oil recovery, and asset evaluations. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams and projects to generate technically sound and commercially viable solutions supporting organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement petroleum engineering strategies aligning with asset goals, production objectives, recovery targets, economic conditions, and company priorities.
  • Lead petroleum engineering efforts through exploration, appraisal, development, production, mature field optimization, and lifecycle management phases.
  • Supervise multi-disciplinary teams including reservoir, production, drilling, completions, geoscience, facilities, and operations personnel.
  • Formulate and refine field development plans, reservoir management tactics, production forecasts, well programs, and recovery methods.
  • Analyze reservoir performance using extensive data sets such as production statistics, pressure measurements, well tests, simulations, and surveillance information.
  • Drive production optimization projects to improve well output, field productivity, recovery rates, operational efficiency, and asset valuation.
  • Assess well performance opportunities including workovers, recompletions, stimulation, artificial lift enhancements, infill drilling, and sidetrack operations.
  • Guide well planning, placement, completion methods, and development sequencing from an engineering perspective.
  • Conduct engineering studies evaluating field performance, development alternatives, reserves assessments, recovery mechanics, and production constraints.
  • Maintain production forecasts, reserves estimates, economic appraisals, and performance models over the long term.
  • Lead enhanced oil recovery initiatives such as water, gas, miscible, and chemical injections.
  • Collaborate with Geoscience teams to integrate geological and reservoir data for field development decisions.
  • Coordinate with drilling and completions teams to optimize well design, completion strategies, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work with operations and facilities teams to troubleshoot production limitations and enhance facility and well system performance.
  • Review and approve technical studies, forecasts, models, plans, and recommendations related to petroleum engineering.
  • Evaluate new field development concepts including redevelopment, acquisitions, farm-ins/farm-outs, and other investment opportunities.
  • Support reserves evaluations adhering to industry norms and regulatory frameworks.
  • Develop economic and commercial models for drilling, development projects, workovers, production optimization, and recovery initiatives.
  • Monitor actual production against budgets, forecasts, plans, reserves expectations, and targets.
  • Establish KPIs covering production, recovery, reserves growth, well success, operational efficiency, cost management, and asset value.
  • Identify and mitigate technical, operational, commercial, reservoir, and production risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive records including engineering databases, forecasts, performance tracking, reserves documentation, development plans, technical studies, and risk registers.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, regulatory requirements, corporate policies, health, safety, environment standards, and industry best practices.
  • Engage with joint venture partners, regulatory bodies, service providers, and external consultants as needed.
  • Provide technical leadership for field, development, reserves reviews, technical assurance, and investment decision processes.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, recommendations for investments, development proposals, performance reports, and executive summaries.
