Key Responsibilities
As a Traffic Management Designer, you will be the primary liaison with stakeholders on important projects to communicate planned methodologies to road users and ensure efficient allocation of Traffic Management resources. Your responsibilities will include detailed design and submission of Traffic Management Plans (TTMPs), tailoring traffic controls to specific work sites and activities, risk assessment for both workers and the public, and creating the safest and most efficient control measures.
- Develop Traffic Management Plans for internal teams and clients
- Maintain and manage the Service Request system with a focus on quality and precision
- Plan and coordinate traffic management around upcoming workloads to support business operations
- Contribute to project and contract methodologies, budgets, and schedules especially for maintenance contracts and projects
- Supervise and collaborate with multiple teams and organizations across different disciplines within the business
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in traffic management and prior planning roles
- Competency with Traffic Management Design software such as Rapid Plan, Rapid Path, and AutoCAD
- Valid TTMP Planning Warrant or equivalent certifications
- STMS A/B/C-NP Warrants or equivalent unit standards
- Self-driven with strong motivation to achieve excellent results and a continuous learning mindset
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
