Traffic Management Operative

About the Role

The Traffic Management division at our Hamilton branch, known as the Green Team, is seeking a full-time permanent Traffic Management Operative. This role involves practical, hands-on work on the roads, ensuring safety for our crews, road users, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up traffic management sites to create safe working environments.
• Manage and direct the flow of traffic effectively.
• Support pedestrians and provide clear information to local residents.
• Act as a positive and professional representative of the company while on duty.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in traffic management or eagerness to learn and complete training.
• Hold a Traffic Controller Qualification at Level 1 (Unit standards 31958 and/or 31960) or willing to pursue it.
• Possess a full New Zealand Class 1 Driver’s License.
• Class 2 Driver’s License preferred or readiness to acquire it.
• Strong safety-focused attitude prioritizing personal, team, and public well-being.
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated individual.
• Physical fitness and comfort working outdoors in varied conditions.
• Team-oriented mindset with effective problem-solving abilities.
