About the Role
The Traffic Management division at our Hamilton branch, known as the Green Team, is seeking a full-time permanent Traffic Management Operative. This role involves practical, hands-on work on the roads, ensuring safety for our crews, road users, and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up traffic management sites to create safe working environments.
- Manage and direct the flow of traffic effectively.
- Support pedestrians and provide clear information to local residents.
- Act as a positive and professional representative of the company while on duty.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in traffic management or eagerness to learn and complete training.
- Hold a Traffic Controller Qualification at Level 1 (Unit standards 31958 and/or 31960) or willing to pursue it.
- Possess a full New Zealand Class 1 Driver’s License.
- Class 2 Driver’s License preferred or readiness to acquire it.
- Strong safety-focused attitude prioritizing personal, team, and public well-being.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated individual.
- Physical fitness and comfort working outdoors in varied conditions.
- Team-oriented mindset with effective problem-solving abilities.
