Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a permanent full-time Traffic Management Operative to join the Green Team at our Kopu depot. This role involves direct involvement on the road to ensure the safety of our crews, road users, and surrounding communities.
Key Duties
- Assist in setting up and dismantling traffic management sites.
- Control and direct traffic flow to maintain a safe environment.
- Create and maintain secure working areas for fellow team members.
- Support pedestrians and respond to inquiries from local residents.
- Represent the company professionally and positively in public interactions.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in traffic management or a genuine willingness to learn through training.
- TC Qualification at Level 1 minimum (Unit standards 31958 and/or 31960).
- Possession of a full New Zealand Class 1 Driver’s Licence.
- Class 2 licence is preferred or willingness to obtain this qualification.
- A strong safety-first approach prioritizing personal, team, and public safety.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
- Physically able and comfortable working in outdoor environments.
- Collaborative team player with good problem-solving skills.
