We are seeking Trades Assistants / Labourers to work primarily at our Hume facility and workshop in Canberra, offering early start and finish times so you can enjoy your afternoons, with options for overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment necessary for welding and fabrication tasks.
• Assist tradespeople with workshop duties such as cleaning, grinding, and component handling.
• Help position parts during assembly and provide support as directed.
• Keep work zones clean, safe, and ready for use at all times.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and equipment following proper guidelines.
• Maintain professional communication with colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Contribute to daily reporting and complete required documentation accurately.
• Recognize hazards and immediately report unsafe situations to maintain workplace safety.
• Support the resolution of on-site issues to ensure efficient workflow.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in workshops, fabrication, construction, or labouring roles is advantageous.
• Competence in using hand tools and adherence to safety procedures.
• A strong dedication to hard work and eagerness to develop skills.
• Possession of a valid White Card is essential.
• Knowledge or certification in Silica and Asbestos Awareness is preferred.
• Must hold permanent work authorization for Australia.
