Assembly Quality Controller

The company is rapidly expanding into AI infrastructure and advanced cooling solutions for data centers.

Role Summary

We are seeking an Assembly Quality Controller to join our Fabrication team located at the Hume, ACT warehouse. This role involves hands-on quality verification of assembled modules, installed parts, and pressure tests to ensure they comply with approved drawings, specifications, and tolerance standards before progressing through production stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect modules and components for adherence to drawings, dimensional tolerances, orientation, completeness, and finishing standards.
• Perform or oversee pressure testing according to approved procedures, documenting results precisely.
• Verify completeness of test records, traceability documentation, and identification before release.
• Record and clearly report defects, leaks, damages, non-conformances; quarantine affected items and assist with corrective measures and re-inspections.
• Maintain quality control documentation including checklists, inspection reports, pressure test documentation, and non-conformance reports.
• Communicate promptly with assemblers, Pressure Test Leads, and production team to highlight issues early and ensure workflow continuity.
• Provide daily quality reports to supervisors.
• Ensure inspection and testing equipment is maintained, functional, and report any malfunctions.
• Participate in QA audits, team meetings, toolbox talks, and quality improvement sessions.
• Report unsafe conditions, environmental risks, accidents, and near misses in accordance with workplace health, safety, environment, and quality (WHSEQ) standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Exceptional attention to detail and consistent quality-focused approach.
• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Capability to safely access and handle various assemblies for inspection.
• Possession of White Card, Silica Awareness, and Asbestos Awareness certifications.
• Preferable experience in mechanical assembly, module assembly, or pressure testing.
• Trades qualification or a Certificate III in Engineering, Mechanical Trade, Plumbing, or equivalent certification is desirable.
