Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Trade Sales Representative to join our Kerikeri team. This full-time permanent position involves engaging with customers primarily at the trade sales counter, processing orders, providing product guidance, and ensuring clients have the necessary materials to keep their projects moving smoothly. This role also occasionally includes assisting with local deliveries, warehouse tasks, and overall branch activities, creating a dynamic and varied work environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at the trade sales counter.
• Manage sales transactions and respond to customer product inquiries.
• Develop and nurture strong customer relationships.
• Prepare and pick customer orders efficiently.
• Provide occasional relief driving for local deliveries.
• Support warehouse and general branch operations when needed.
• Collaborate with the broader team to maintain superior customer service standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated customer service and sales skills.
• Experience in trade, retail, merchant, or direct customer service roles is preferred.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn company products and branding.
• Reliability, motivation, and strong teamwork abilities.
• Effective communication and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time well.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness to perform some manual handling tasks with weights up to 20kg.
• Possession of a full, clean Class 1 New Zealand driver's licence.
• Having a forklift licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Work Schedule

This is a permanent, full-time role comprising 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
