About the Role
Join Rockstar Games, a leader in immersive entertainment experiences, as part of a committed team working on large-scale creative projects. This role is based at Rockstar's cutting-edge development studio in Edinburgh, Scotland, and offers a collaborative, inclusive environment where you will work alongside some of the industry's most skilled professionals.
Team and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain an internal audio tools suite that facilitates the creation and integration of audio assets for games.
- Collaborate extensively with team members from the Audio division and the broader Tools group within Rockstar.
- Stay current with technological advances and modern user interface standards to incorporate relevant improvements into the tools.
- Balance immediate user demands with strategic, ongoing development of the audio tool suites, seeking to enhance user productivity and streamline workflows.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or hold equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrate excellent proficiency with .NET and C# programming.
- Showcase strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
- Capable of managing project schedules and delivering assigned tasks within set deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications
- An enthusiasm for gaming and interactive audio or music.
- Experience with commercial audio content creation tools.
- Adeptness in designing and implementing intuitive user interfaces for managing complex data.
- Familiarity with audio synthesis and digital signal processing (DSP).
- Programming experience in C++.
- Knowledge in building applications using the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) framework.
