About the Role
Apple’s Worldwide Developer Relations team empowers developers globally to create innovative applications across Apple platforms. We are currently seeking a creative and committed Technology Evangelist for Southeast Asia based in Singapore. The role involves working closely with developers to help deliver engaging apps and games by leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and spatial computing.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with developers, developer communities, and internal teams to spearhead initiatives that enhance app and game experiences in Southeast Asia and globally.
- Advocate and educate developers on development best practices, design principles, and the use of Apple's tools, frameworks, and services.
- Promote adoption of Apple technologies by fostering partnerships across cross-functional and multinational teams within Apple.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years’ experience in software development, including 5+ years working with Swift, Objective-C, or other object-oriented programming languages, with a history of delivering full software release lifecycles.
- Demonstrated expertise in optimizing application performance, energy efficiency, security, accessibility, and localization.
- Strong ability to understand diverse needs quickly, make strategic decisions, and lead scalable improvements to developer services.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders ranging from engineers to business leaders.
- Fluency in English and one additional Southeast Asian language due to regional responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a STEM field such as computer science, IT, mathematics, or physics.
- Experience in developing interactive user interfaces using UIKit and SwiftUI; familiarity with AI, machine learning, and spatial computing technologies is a plus.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills suited for international teamwork.
- Understanding of emerging developer products and local regulatory environments impacting developer communities.
- Creativity in communicating innovative use cases to developers.
