Job Overview
The Mechanical/Electrical Technician is tasked with ensuring the functionality and readiness of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) as well as other specialized operational tools. This position demands a comprehensive technical background, strong problem-solving abilities, and adherence to both safety and operational guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on GSE and other specialized equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Carry out inspections, testing, repairs, and routine servicing of equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed within the allotted timeframe while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Keep equipment in operational condition and ready for use.
- Follow original equipment manufacturer (OEM) maintenance instructions and protocols strictly.
- Perform fundamental troubleshooting procedures when necessary.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment prior to release for operational tasks.
- Collaborate with Operations teams and relevant technical departments to coordinate maintenance and ensure equipment availability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities and equipment documentation.
- Prepare daily reports on equipment performance and maintenance outcomes.
- Adhere rigorously to all operational and safety procedures and standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess at least a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Auto Mechanic, or a directly related technical discipline.
- Have a minimum of two to three years of relevant technical experience involving maintenance, workshop operations, vehicle or GSE maintenance.
- Skilled in both preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Experience specifically with Ground Support Equipment is strongly preferred.
- Capable of independently performing maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Able to comprehend technical manuals, drawings, and equipment operation instructions.
- Comfortable working with computerized maintenance systems and technical machinery.
