Dispatch Team Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Dispatch Team Lead to oversee and guide a team of delivery drivers while managing all aspects of daily dispatch operations. This role requires strategic allocation of drivers, effective route planning, and real-time monitoring to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of delivery drivers, managing daily dispatch workflows.
• Assign drivers appropriately based on workload, availability, and delivery requirements.
• Plan and organize delivery routes and daily dispatch schedules for optimal efficiency.
• Track driver attendance, availability, productivity, and overall performance metrics.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time deliveries, success rates, delivery failures, and productivity levels.
• Oversee live delivery progress and promptly address delays or exceptions.
• Resolve issues related to failed deliveries, customer complaints, route challenges, and operational disruptions.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse, hub, customer service, and operations teams to coordinate efforts.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety protocols, and delivery standards among drivers.
• Provide coaching and constructive feedback to drivers aimed at enhancing performance and efficiency.
• Generate comprehensive reports covering daily dispatch activities, driver performance, and operational outcomes.
• Identify and implement improvements to route efficiency and minimize failed deliveries.
• Confirm vehicle and delivery equipment readiness prior to dispatch.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of driver assignments, dispatch activities, and delivery results.
• Assist the Operations Manager in meeting daily delivery goals and service expectations.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, courier, or transportation operations.
• Preferable experience overseeing a team of 20 or more drivers.
• Proficient knowledge of dispatch operations, route planning, and last-mile delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with local road networks, delivery zones, and route optimization techniques.
