Job Overview
Americana Foods in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Section Head. This role involves leading all maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations of production equipment and industrial utilities, especially in food manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance processes to reduce downtime and improve equipment effectiveness.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for frequent equipment breakdowns to implement lasting solutions.
- Manage industrial utility systems, including refrigeration, boilers, compressors, HVAC, water treatment, and electrical setups.
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and contractors to guarantee efficient operations.
- Handle the availability of critical spare parts and organize planned equipment shutdowns.
- Champion Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement practices.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines, Food Safety standards, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols.
- Support projects related to equipment upgrades, automation, and capital expenditures (CAPEX).
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
- At least eight years of maintenance experience, preferably within Cake & Cookies, FMCG, or Food Manufacturing industries.
- A minimum of two years holding a supervisory or team leadership position.
- Strong expertise with automated production lines, packaging machinery, and industrial utilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of TPM, RCA methods, preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as GMP and HACCP standards.
- Preferably familiar with automation technologies such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and overall control systems.
