Job Overview
The Technical Senior Coordinator will support the technical officer in managing product approval forms and ensure all samples and orders meet quality and safety standards. This role requires close collaboration with planning, production, QA, and technical teams to oversee samples, raw material testing, and product conformity with industry regulations.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in finalizing Product Approval Forms (PAF) and review Field Change Requests (FCR) including follow-ups for any missing details.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing documents for FCRs and samples, securing necessary approvals.
- Evaluate sample requests against FCR and ensure availability of production equipment for samples where applicable.
- Coordinate with artwork units to issue requests for cylinders or clichés and track progress.
- Maintain and update sample backlog records, then communicate specifications to planning for execution.
- Monitor sample execution across planning, production, and quality assurance teams, validating final samples meet client specifications.
- Generate Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and sample dispatch forms, informing planning, warehouse, and logistics about sample readiness.
- Compare new sales orders with previous FCRs and executed samples to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Create and update BOMs, routes, and test requirements for new and ongoing commercial orders, including product revisions as necessary.
- Support testing and evaluation of new raw materials (RM), planning trials with technical unit leadership, maintaining RM evaluation logs and sample indexes.
- Follow up on RM trial execution and validate outcomes according to company standards, facilitating customer validation if required.
- Issue final disposition reports for raw materials and suppliers, reflecting results in evaluation records.
- Keep documentation of machine capabilities current and ensure all Compact products comply with statutory, regulatory, and food safety standards by coordinating lab testing and informing the food safety team.
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Conformity when applicable.
Safety Duties
- Implement and enforce company health and safety policies within the assigned area.
- Conduct risk assessments with team participation and thoroughly understand emergency response procedures.
- Disseminate health and safety information and instructions to junior staff and escalate queries beyond own scope to HSE meetings.
- Ensure that all subordinates receive appropriate training on safe work practices and verify the effectiveness of such training.
- Monitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices, completing all required audits and checklists.
- Promote a safety-first culture by immediately addressing unsafe acts or conditions and reporting new hazards promptly.
- Lead daily safety talks and actively participate in safety meetings and cross-audit programs.
