Overview
Join WSP, one of the world's leading professional services firms, as a Technical Director in Aviation. This role offers the unique chance to collaborate on landmark projects globally while working from Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the aviation service line with a strong customer-first approach, leveraging global and local resources and technical knowledge to establish WSP as the top aviation consultancy.
- Oversee operational management to achieve outstanding results in commercial, personnel, and project areas within the aviation division.
- Engage closely with clients, building relationships and expanding opportunities within the aviation sector.
- Manage and develop the client pipeline and prospects to support business growth.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement consistent service offerings across the company nationwide.
- Monitor all projects under the aviation service line to ensure successful delivery of client outcomes.
- Provide leadership on project teams, ensuring adherence to WSP’s project management procedures.
- Directly apply your technical expertise within client projects as needed.
- Represent WSP actively in relevant aviation industry organizations.
Candidate Profile
- At least 10 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years in an aviation-related management position.
- Proven track record in business development, including identifying and leveraging opportunities to increase revenue, profitability, and market presence.
- Strong experience in project delivery combined with commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated ability in client relationship management and business growth.
- Experience in coordinating resources and overseeing workloads across multiple projects.
