Job Overview
Join WSP to work on meaningful projects that shape the future of infrastructure and environment in Aotearoa New Zealand. As a Digital Engineering Lead - Water, based in Hamilton, you will influence national water project delivery by combining active project involvement with leadership that enhances standards, workflows, and digital engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and support digital engineering efforts on water-related projects including modelling, design, and technical deliverables.
- Develop and enforce consistent modeling standards, workflows, and quality assurance processes.
- Provide technical advisory services to the Water Leadership Team concerning digital engineering methodologies.
- Promote advancement of tools, systems, and workflows to increase efficiency and project outcomes.
- Coach and build digital delivery capabilities across project teams nationwide.
- Facilitate the adoption of ISO 19650-compliant practices.
- Contribute strategically to the digital engineering direction within the water sector.
- Improve client satisfaction through dependable and high-quality digital engineering delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Deep experience in digital engineering specifically related to infrastructure or water projects, with strong skills in Civil 3D and/or Plant 3D.
- Successful track record of implementing digital delivery standards and quality frameworks across teams.
- Capable of hands-on project work while mentoring and developing team members.
- Experience in leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives within engineering environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influential communication skills at both project and leadership levels.
- Committed to innovation and ongoing enhancement of digital delivery processes.
- Preferably holds a tertiary engineering qualification or possesses equivalent industry experience.
