Team Member - Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Team Member to join our facility in Andhra Pradesh. The candidate will be responsible for developing and updating Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring statutory compliance, and maintaining effective fire safety systems across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain SHE SOPs to align with industry regulations and internal standards.
• Ensure complete adherence to all statutory and regulatory SHE requirements within FTO-SEZ, Process Unit-01.
• Maintain and verify the effectiveness and availability of fire detection, protection, and suppression equipment.
• Collaborate with site leadership in performing incident investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions to mitigate recurrence risks.
• Management of the Onsite Emergency Plan including regular reviews, updates, and conducting mock drills to ensure preparedness.
• Perform routine safety audits and inspections across departments and facilitate closure of observations through timely CAPAs.
• Deliver safety training programs aimed at raising employee awareness and fostering a safety-conscious culture.
• Lead and participate in various SHE campaigns including National Safety Week, World Environment Day, and Road Safety Week to promote safety awareness.
• Review new products and processes for safety considerations and implement necessary risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct SHE induction sessions for new hires, contractors, and visitors to ensure site safety compliance.
• Coordinate selection, procurement, and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) based on evaluated risks.
• Enforce the Permit-to-Work system rigorously, adhering to a zero-violation policy.
• Ensure first aid boxes are adequately stocked and accessible throughout the site.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain comprehensive SHE statistics and prepare reports for managerial review.
• Prepare and oversee the implementation of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for routine and non-routine tasks.
• Monitor and follow up on action items from SHE Apex meetings to ensure completion and compliance.
• Assist in preparation and presentation of SHE data for business unit Apex meetings and monitor implementation of action points.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or an M.Sc degree, with professional experience ranging from 3 to 6 years in related EHS roles.
