About the Role

Work at Rixos The Palm Hotel & Suites in Dubai as a dedicated Tailor, joining a prestigious hotel within the Accor network, which boasts over 45 brands and thousands of establishments worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Handle mending of all hotel uniforms, room and food & beverage linen, and guest laundry items with quality standards.
• Repair guest clothing upon request ensuring timely return.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of tailoring materials and keep the workspace clean and organized.
• Ensure sewing machines are properly cleaned and maintained to optimize efficiency.
• Assist in the linen room by issuing uniforms to employees and managing uniform inventory files aligned with departmental needs.
• Attend quickly to minor guest laundry repairs such as sewing buttons and seams.
• Manage lost and damaged uniform cases by coordinating with HR and Executive Housekeeper and filing necessary reports.
• Monitor uniform usage and report any misuse to the Linen & Uniform Room Supervisor.
• Communicate shift handover information clearly to ensure smooth operations.
• Report defects or damages of equipment or furniture in the uniform room promptly.
• Inspect uniforms before sending to laundry for missing buttons or tears and repair when needed.
• Ensure thorough cleaning of equipment and uniform storage areas daily.
• Separate condemned linens, uniforms, and curtains from those requiring repair.
• Provide courteous and efficient service to hotel guests.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess relevant service certificates or recommendation letters validating tailoring skills.
• At least 3 years of experience in similar tailoring roles, preferably in 4 to 5-star hotels.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
