Role Overview
The Systems Teammate is entrusted with performing all responsibilities of the role professionally, accurately, and promptly. This position requires delivering outstanding customer service, fostering loyalty, meeting customer needs, and contributing positively to team and customer engagement environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all food safety standards, operating procedures, health and safety policies, and corporate initiatives.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that work areas are consistently clean, safe, and well-presented.
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of products and seasonal changes.
- Utilize relevant computer applications and inventory systems to track and manage production and replenishment stock within the store.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures for monitoring product temperatures storewide.
- Use pricing software to enter and activate pricing updates accurately.
- Review and update discontinued and deleted product items.
- Verify shelf tags for accuracy against computerized files, warehouse pricing, and order documentation.
- Reconcile daily pricing change printouts and batches to ensure correctness.
- Import and verify data transfers from file servers to point-of-sale systems.
- Produce and display shelf labels, signage, and promotional displays following company standards.
- Prepare and distribute various product and inventory reports to relevant departments.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff members as needed.
Candidate Qualifications
- Capability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills above average standards.
- Demonstrated drive, initiative, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to comprehend and apply Store Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Previous experience in a grocery store setting is an advantage.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 20 pounds, prolonged standing, bending, and reaching.
