About the Role
We are seeking a Systems Operator / IT Coordinator based in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia. The position involves diagnosing and fixing technical glitches related to computer hardware and peripheral devices, including printers and scanners. The role requires responding effectively to program errors by troubleshooting, correcting issues, or terminating the program as necessary. You will also provide technical advice and solutions to support business challenges and liaise with vendors or technicians for major hardware/software repairs or defective products.
Responsibilities include operating and integrating computer and peripheral equipment through entering commands and activating controls. You will be key in maintaining and upgrading hardware, software, and telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring functionality of devices and website-related technical architectures.
Job Duties and Safety
The position requires prompt reporting of any work-related accidents or injuries to supervisors, identifying and addressing unsafe work practices or conditions, and adhering to property-specific emergency procedures such as evacuations and medical emergencies. Effective communication with colleagues using electronic means (e-mail, pagers, two-way radios) is essential. You will also be expected to perform physical tasks involving reaching, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds unassisted), and visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines for defects. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisors as required.
