Role Overview

The Systems Engineer will act as a technical leader throughout the sales process, fostering revenue growth and facilitating customer success by aligning Forescout’s cybersecurity solutions with client needs. This role requires extensive expertise in cybersecurity or enterprise technologies, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and strong consultative skills. Collaboration and customer focus underpin the role to position Forescout as a reliable partner for securing digital environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Educate customers and partners about Forescout’s advanced security technologies and the latest cyber threat landscape.
• Establish trusted advisory relationships with customers, tailoring solutions to meet business and technical goals.
• Identify and analyze security challenges within client environments and engage with technical and management stakeholders accordingly.
• Confidently present Forescout’s products, value propositions, roadmaps, and strategic plans to diverse audiences, including engineers and executives.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations in both virtual and in-person settings alongside the sales team.
• Provide technical escalation support, acting as a liaison among sales, support, and engineering teams to resolve customer issues effectively.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, from opportunity qualification through deal closure.
• Collaborate with channel partners within a partner sales model to support sales activities.
• Manage proof-of-concept (POC) phases by optimizing test plans, adjusting configurations, and resolving challenges during evaluations.
• Develop POC environments in cooperation with account teams, focused on strategic goals and available resources.
• Maintain technical certifications (FSCA and FSCE) relevant to Forescout technologies and remain actively trained on the 4D Platform and associated technologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 8 years of IT industry experience, including at least 5 years in pre-sales engineering or technical consulting roles.
• Strong enthusiasm for cybersecurity solutions with a hands-on approach to testing and customer interaction.
• Solid technical aptitude complemented by strong presentation and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work efficiently across geographically distributed teams in a global context.
• Self-driven, detail-conscious, and highly customer-oriented with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• Experience in translating client requirements into practical solutions that optimize user experience.
• Adaptability, resilience, and the capacity to multitask effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
