Role Overview

The Systems Engineer in a Pre-Sales capacity will drive technical strategy throughout the sales process aiming to boost revenue, foster customer satisfaction, and support solution adoption. This individual will leverage deep cybersecurity or enterprise technology expertise, coupled with consultative skills and a collaborative approach, to position Forescout as a trusted partner securing digital environments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Educate clients and partners about Forescout’s advanced security technologies and the current threat landscape.
• Develop strong consultative relationships, aligning solutions with customer business and technical goals.
• Analyze security challenges and engage with both technical and managerial stakeholders.
• Confidently present value propositions, product roadmaps, and strategies to diverse audiences, ranging from technical staff to executives.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations virtually and onsite alongside sales teams.
• Handle technical escalations, acting as liaison between sales, support, and engineering to facilitate resolutions and ensure satisfaction.
• Support pre-sales activities, including identifying and qualifying opportunities through to closing.
• Collaborate with and enable channel partners within a channel-focused sales framework.
• Manage proof-of-concept initiatives, optimizing test plans, configuring solutions, and addressing issues during evaluations.
• Assist in developing POC environments aligned with account objectives and resource availability.
• Maintain current certifications related to designated Forescout technologies and platforms.
• Stay updated with the Forescout 4D Platform and associated technologies through continuous training.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over eight years of IT industry experience, with a minimum of five years in pre-sales or technical consulting roles.
• A strong passion for cybersecurity, paired with enthusiasm for hands-on product testing and direct customer engagement.
• Excellent technical acumen, proficient presentation skills, and strong written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with distributed teams in a global setting.
• Self-driven, meticulous, and customer-centric, striving for high-quality outcomes.
• Competent in translating technical requirements into best-practice solutions that improve user experiences.
• Adaptable and resilient amidst a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
• Capable of multitasking, proactive initiative-taking, and meeting stringent deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
