System Administrator

Job Overview

The System Administrator is responsible for designing, planning, deploying, and maintaining critical enterprise systems to guarantee optimal performance, security, and recovery protocols. This position acts as a technical authority for system administration, advising on system redesigns and providing advanced support to maintain uninterrupted operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of FCMS host servers including monitoring performance, configuration, upkeep, and repairs, while maintaining records on system outages and hardware inventories.
• Administer Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems to ensure smooth interoperability and efficiency.
• Lead upgrades, installations, and configurations of application software and server hardware elements.
• Conduct troubleshooting processes, spearheading resolutions involving external vendors and support teams.
• Manage user and email account administration and server-based software support by installing, updating, and maintaining system utilities.
• Address user queries and resolve product-related issues with thorough documentation.
• Track progression of user cases and assigned duties until resolution.
• Contribute to team initiatives aimed at refining workflows, operational procedures, and domain expertise.
• Foster productive collaboration with the Fakeeh Care Solutions Delivery group.
• Ensure mission-critical server resources are highly available and functioning at optimal performance.
• Support helpdesk and related teams in troubleshooting and identifying root causes of technical problems.
• Execute server and storage system installation, configuration, and sustained maintenance.
• Perform comprehensive server management tasks including administration of users/groups, permissions, group policies, print services, event log supervision, and resource coordination for seamless system integration.
• Monitor data center status with specialized management tools and promptly address hardware faults, including building, testing, and maintaining new servers as needed.
• Carry out additional responsibilities within the job scope as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Solid expertise in administrating Windows, Linux, and Mac systems.
• Proven ability to install, configure, and maintain server-related hardware and software.
• Strong troubleshooting and resolution capabilities for system and network issues.
• Experience managing user accounts, email systems, and delivering server support.
• Effective analytical skills to solve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-departmental teams and external service providers.
• Knowledgeable in data center operations and hardware upkeep.
• Capable of monitoring system performance and guaranteeing high availability of essential computing resources.

Experience and Education

• Between two and three years of relevant experience in system administration or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.

Additional Requirements

• Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory, and proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
• Certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, or CISSP are highly advantageous.
