Surveillance Security Guard

About the Role

This position of Surveillance Security Guard requires vigilant monitoring of security systems to identify any suspicious or threatening behavior. You will be primarily stationed in areas like security operation centers, call centers, construction sites, parking lots, and gatehouses, where your keen observational skills and attention to detail will be essential in detecting and preventing security breaches before they develop further.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security systems to detect suspicious activities
• React promptly to incidents or potential threats
• Record detailed reports of events and incidents observed
• Perform regular foot patrols to maintain safety of the property
• Control and regulate access to restricted areas by checking visitor identification
• Evaluate security equipment to identify weaknesses or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergencies or serious incidents

Qualification Requirements

• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
• Possession of a valid security guard license
• Current first aid certification is mandatory
• Excellent report writing capabilities
• Good vision and ability to maintain sustained attention
• Strong aptitude in using technology related to security monitoring
• Ability to stand and walk throughout assigned shifts
