Role Summary

The role of Armed Security Guard is a full-time, on-location position based in Harare, focused on protecting company assets, personnel, and property. Daily duties include monitoring access points, performing routine patrols, identifying and reporting suspicious behavior, and reacting appropriately to security events following company protocols. Responsibilities also encompass operating security devices, maintaining detailed incident records, and enforcing security and safety standards. The role involves working closely with management and local enforcement agencies, aiding in emergency responses and helping to enhance security systems continually.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven background in security services, law enforcement, or military with experience safeguarding facilities and personnel.
• Valid firearms certification and legal authorization to carry a weapon, supported by strong firearms safety and handling expertise.
• Awareness of security systems, access control, incident documentation, and emergency response suited to industrial or mining settings.
• Excellent observational skills, situational awareness, and risk evaluation with the ability to stay composed and make decisions under stress.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for professional interaction with staff, visitors, and external parties.
• Physical stamina suitable for ongoing patrols, long periods of standing, and prompt incident reaction.
• Adherence to protocol, flexibility to work shifts including nights and weekends, and teamwork capability.
• High ethical standards, dependability, confidentiality respect, clean background, and policy compliance.
• Completion of secondary education or equivalent, with extra security-related certifications considered a plus.
• Experience in mining or heavy industrial sectors preferred but not mandatory.
